Barco QDX-N4K35 RGB-Demoware

The Barco QDX-N4K35 RGB is a native 4K 3-chip DLP projector with an RGB laser light source, 34,000 ANSI lumens, 4096 x 2176 resolution and Rec.2020 color space for high-resolution projection with increased light output. The system is based on 3x 0.98" DMD, uses Barco Pulse Electronics for signal processing up to 8K@60Hz and 4K@240Hz, and is designed for long-term professional use with a light source lifetime exceeding 35,000 hours.

Native 4K image quality with higher brightness

The QDX-N4K35 RGB combines native DC4K resolution with a higher output RGB laser light source within the QDX range. This makes it suitable for large-scale projection surfaces and environments with elevated ambient light. Confirmed specifications include Rec.2020 color space, high brightness uniformity and 34,000 ANSI lumens. This is complemented by a full field contrast ratio around 2,200:1 and Barco DynaBlack for dynamic contrast optimization.

QDX platform for scalable projection systems

The QDX-N4K35 RGB is part of the modular QDX platform, combining multiple brightness levels, resolutions and light source technologies within a unified system architecture. For integration, this enables consistent workflows and continued use of existing TLD+ lenses, rental frames and transport solutions. Platform technologies include Pulse Electronics, DuraOptix, DynaBlack and the Insights Management Suite for centralized monitoring and remote fleet management.

Signal processing and interfaces

The projector supports modern signal paths via HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4, along with control and integration interfaces such as RJ45 Ethernet, USB with 5 V and 12 V output, and BNC 3D sync in/out. Supported input signals include up to 4096 x 2160 at 120 Hz, 3840 x 2400 at 120 Hz and up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz. Integrated features include warping, blending, picture-in-picture with two simultaneous sources and CLO for constant light output.

Lens platform and installation flexibility

The QDX-N4K35 RGB is based on the TLD+ lens platform and is delivered as body only without lens. It supports interchangeable lenses with ratios from 0.37-7.50:1, covering a wide range of projection distances. Motorized lens shift enables flexible positioning with large adjustment ranges depending on the lens, complemented by lens memory on compatible TLD+ optics. The projection distance can be approximated as image width x ratio.

Designed for continuous professional operation

The system is engineered for long-term use in demanding environments. Features include a sealed DLP core with DuraOptix, protective measures for optical and electronic components, and an RGB laser light source rated for more than 35,000 hours. The projector supports 360° orientation, includes an optical dowser and features a modular design for serviceability.

Mechanical and operational parameters

The chassis follows the QDX platform design with dimensions of 660 x 830 x 350 mm and a weight of approximately 74 kg. Operating temperature range is specified at 0-40 °C, with reduced output at higher temperatures. Power requirements are 120-160 V in reduced mode or 200-240 V (+/-10%) at 32 A and 50-60 Hz.
