Barco QDX-N4K25-Demoware

The Barco QDX-N4K25 is a native 4K 3-chip DLP projector with a laser phosphor light source, 21,000 ANSI lumens, 4096 x 2176 resolution and professional signal processing via Barco Pulse Electronics. The system is designed for demanding installations, supports high bandwidth up to 8K@60Hz and 4K@240Hz, and provides a long-life light source for continuous operation.

Native 4K resolution and stable light output

The QDX-N4K25 combines native DC4K resolution with a laser phosphor light source for consistent brightness and image sharpness over time. With 21,000 ANSI lumens, it is suitable for large-scale projection. This is complemented by high brightness uniformity and a full field contrast ratio around 2,200:1. Barco DynaBlack supports dynamic contrast adjustment.

QDX platform and system integration

The projector is part of the QDX platform, which unifies multiple projector classes within a consistent architecture. For integration, this enables standardized workflows and reuse of existing components such as TLD+ lenses, rental frames and transport solutions. Platform technologies include Pulse Electronics, DuraOptix and the Insights Management Suite for centralized control and monitoring.

Signal processing and interfaces

The QDX-N4K25 is designed for modern signal infrastructures and includes HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, RJ45 Ethernet, USB with 5 V and 12 V output and BNC 3D sync in/out. Supported input signals include up to 4096 x 2160 at 120 Hz, 3840 x 2400 at 120 Hz and up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz. Integrated features include warping, blending, picture-in-picture and Constant Light Output (CLO).

TLD+ lens platform and flexible installation

The QDX-N4K25 is delivered as body only without lens and uses the TLD+ lens platform. It supports interchangeable lenses with ratios from 0.37-7.50:1, enabling installations from ultra short throw to ultra telephoto. Motorized lens shift provides large adjustment ranges depending on the lens, complemented by lens memory for compatible optics. The projection distance can be approximated as image width x ratio.

Designed for continuous operation

The system is designed for long-term professional use and features a sealed DLP core with DuraOptix and protective measures for optical and electronic components. The laser phosphor light source is built for extended operating life. It supports 360° orientation, includes an optical dowser and features a modular service-friendly design.

Mechanical and operating conditions

The chassis follows the QDX platform design with dimensions of 660 x 830 x 350 mm and a weight of approximately 74 kg. Operating temperature range is 0-40 °C, with reduced output at higher temperatures. Power requirements are 120-160 V in reduced mode or 200-240 V (+/-10%) at 32 A and 50-60 Hz.
