ReBeam Dome lens 184° Panasonic 0.80" DLP

This dome lens is a fixed-focus optical solution for 0.8" single-chip DLP projectors, featuring an ultra-wide projection angle, 3.5 mm focal length, F2.2 aperture and up to 184° projection angle. The lens is delivered as a pre-assembled unit and is ready for integration with compatible projectors. It is based on a telecentric design with manual focusing and is intended for dome and immersive projection environments.

Dome projection with ultra-wide angle

The lens enables projection angles up to 184° (vertical) when used with 0.8" DLP projectors in 16:10 format. This makes it suitable for dome and highly curved projection surfaces. For other projector types, adjusted projection angles apply, including up to 175° for 0.76" 3LCD systems and up to 154° for 0.67" DLP projectors.

Optical design and image performance

The lens features a focal length of 3.5 mm and an aperture of F2.2. The image circle is specified at 10.8 mm and optimized for 0.8" panels. MTF performance is rated at 66% in the center and 60% at the edge at 67 lp/mm, supporting consistent detail reproduction across the image. Lateral chromatic aberration is specified at less than 4 µm (R-G) and less than 2 µm (B-G). F-theta distortion is specified at a maximum of -1%.

Focus and mechanical design

The lens is a fixed lens with manual focus. The focus range extends from 600 mm to infinity. The construction uses metal housing and glass optics, designed for stable mechanical integration.

Modular system for multiple projector types

The described version is configured for 0.8" single-chip DLP projectors, for example Panasonic models, and is delivered as a fully assembled unit. The lens system is modular and can be adapted to other projector types using appropriate attachments.
