Christie Eclipse G3-demo

The Christie Eclipse G3 defines a new class of premium projection: true 4K via 6-chip DLP™ combined with an RGB pure laser illumination system. Covering approximately 98 % of Rec.2020 and delivering a sequential contrast ratio of up to 20,000,000:1, this projector ensures outstanding image depth and clarity.
Through the ILS4 (Intelligent Lens System), a selection of Ultra-High-Contrast and High-Brightness lenses is available, while additional High-Contrast optics can also be deployed to maximize black level performance.

The Eclipse G3 maintains up to 30,000 ANSI lumens continuously and retains 100 % brightness for the first 50,000 operating hours. It supports native 4K resolutions at up to 120 Hz in 2D, and active 3D at 60 Hz per eye. For installation flexibility, it includes built-in warping & blending (Christie Twist™) and optional camera-based alignment (Mystique).

The system auto-recognizes ILS4 lenses and calibrates offset, zoom, and focus via stepper motor encoding.The Christie Eclipse G3 supports the modular ILS4 lens system, engineered for ultimate optical precision. Users can choose between Ultra-High-Contrast and High-Brightness variants—optimized either for maximum black depth or peak luminous output.
Additional High-Contrast lenses are also supported, allowing installations to be tailored precisely to ambient light conditions, screen size, and contrast demands. The ILS4 system automatically detects and calibrates zoom, focus, and lens shift electronically, streamlining setup and maintenance.

chiller cooling unit:

The Christie Eclipse G3 operates with an external chiller system designed for precision liquid cooling of the RGB laser illumination and optical assembly. This unit is an integral part of the projection system, ensuring stable thermal management and consistent performance under full-load operation. The chiller is installed remotely from the projector head and connected via flexible coolant lines.Depending on the distance between projector and chiller, different tubing lengths may be required. All associated components, including hoses and coolant (e.g. Christie Propylene Glycol 10 L, 163-130105-01), must be selected according to the specific installation. The closed-loop cooling design efficiently relocates heat and acoustic output away from the projection environment.

Given its substantial size (projector head approx. 186 kg without chiller) and power requirement of up to 7,650 W, the Eclipse demands on-site evaluation and preparation before installation. The chiller is supplied separately and is mandatory for operation; placement, tube length, and coolant type should be coordinated with the authorized Christie sales channel to ensure optimal system integration.
