Barco QDX W45 - RB Laser + inorganic phosphor wheel Projector Lm 1.920x1.200 WUXGA 3-Chip DLP

The Barco QDX-W45 is a 3-chip DLP projector with a laser phosphor light source, 41,000 ANSI lumens, WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200) and signal processing via Barco Pulse Electronics for very high brightness projection within the QDX platform. The system is based on 0.96" DMD x3, supports high bandwidth up to 8K@60Hz and 4K@240Hz, and is designed for long-term professional continuous operation.

WUXGA resolution with maximum brightness

The QDX-W45 combines WUXGA resolution with the highest brightness level within the WUXGA variants of the QDX range. With 41,000 ANSI lumens, it is suitable for very large projection surfaces and demanding ambient light conditions. This is supported by high brightness uniformity and a full field contrast ratio around 2,200:1. Barco DynaBlack enables dynamic contrast control.

QDX platform and system integration

As part of the QDX platform, the QDX-W45 is integrated into a unified system architecture. This enables consistent workflows and reuse of existing TLD+ lenses, rental frames and transport solutions. Platform technologies include Pulse Electronics, DuraOptix, DynaBlack and the Insights Management Suite for centralized monitoring and remote management.

Signal processing and professional interfaces

The projector is designed for high-bandwidth signal processing and features HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, RJ45 Ethernet, USB with 5 V and 12 V output and BNC 3D sync in/out. Supported input signals include up to 4096 x 2160 at 120 Hz, 3840 x 2400 at 120 Hz and up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz. Integrated features include warping and blending, picture-in-picture and Constant Light Output (CLO).

TLD+ lens platform and flexible installation

The QDX-W45 is delivered as body only without lens and uses the TLD+ lens platform. It supports interchangeable lenses with ratios from 0.37-7.50:1, enabling installations from ultra short throw to ultra telephoto. Motorized lens shift provides large adjustment ranges depending on the lens, complemented by lens memory for compatible optics. The projection distance can be approximated as image width x ratio.

Designed for continuous professional operation

The system is designed for long-term use in demanding environments and features a sealed DLP core with DuraOptix and protective measures for optical and electronic components. The laser phosphor light source is designed for extended lifetime. It supports 360° orientation, includes an optical dowser and features a modular, service-friendly design.

Mechanical and operating conditions

The chassis follows the QDX platform design with dimensions of 660 x 830 x 350 mm and a weight of approximately 74 kg. Operating temperature range is 0-40 °C, with reduced output at higher temperatures. Power requirements are 120-160 V in reduced mode or 200-240 V (+/-10%) at 32 A and 50-60 Hz.
