Barco QDX-N4K45 RGB-Demoware

The Barco QDX-N4K45 RGB is a native 4K 3-chip DLP projector with an RGB laser light source, 45,000 ANSI lumens, 4096 x 2176 resolution and Rec.2020 color space for large-scale, high-resolution projection with maximum light output within the QDX RGB range. The system is based on 0.98" DMD x3, processes signals up to 8K@60Hz and 4K@240Hz via Barco Pulse Electronics, and is designed for long-term professional operation with a light source lifetime exceeding 30,000 hours.

Maximum brightness with native 4K resolution

The QDX-N4K45 RGB represents the highest brightness class within the RGB laser variants of the QDX platform. The combination of native DC4K resolution and 45,000 ANSI lumens enables projection on very large surfaces or in environments with challenging ambient light. This is supported by Rec.2020 color space coverage and high brightness uniformity. Contrast performance is complemented by a full field contrast ratio around 2,200:1 and Barco DynaBlack for dynamic contrast control.

QDX platform for high-end projection systems

As part of the QDX platform, the QDX-N4K45 RGB integrates into a scalable projector family combining different performance levels, resolutions and light source technologies within a unified architecture. For system integration, this enables consistent workflows and reuse of existing TLD+ lenses, rental frames and transport solutions. Platform technologies include Pulse Electronics, DuraOptix, DynaBlack and the Insights Management Suite for centralized monitoring and remote fleet management.

Signal processing and professional interfaces

The projector is designed for high-bandwidth signal processing and features HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, RJ45 Ethernet, USB with 5 V and 12 V output, and BNC 3D sync in/out. Supported input signals include up to 4096 x 2160 at 120 Hz, 3840 x 2400 at 120 Hz and up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz. Integrated features include warping and blending, picture-in-picture with two simultaneous sources and Constant Light Output (CLO).

TLD+ lens platform and flexible integration

The QDX-N4K45 RGB is based on the TLD+ lens platform and is delivered as body only without lens. It supports interchangeable lenses with ratios from 0.37-7.50:1, covering a wide range of projection distances from ultra short throw to ultra telephoto. Motorized lens shift enables large adjustment ranges depending on the lens, complemented by lens memory for compatible optics. The projection distance can be approximated as image width x ratio.

Rugged system for continuous operation

The projector is engineered for continuous use in demanding environments. Features include a sealed DLP core with DuraOptix, protection for optical and electronic components and an RGB laser light source rated for more than 30,000 hours. It supports 360° orientation, includes an optical dowser and features a modular design for serviceability.

Mechanical and operational conditions

The chassis follows the QDX platform design with dimensions of 660 x 830 x 350 mm and a weight of approximately 74 kg. Operating temperature range is 0-40 °C, with reduced output at higher temperatures. Power requirements are 120-160 V in reduced mode or 200-240 V (+/-10%) at 32 A and 50-60 Hz.
