The Barco QDX-N4K35 is a native 4K 3-chip DLP projector with a laser phosphor light source, 31,000 ANSI lumens, 4096 x 2176 resolution and signal processing via Barco Pulse Electronics for high-resolution projection with increased light output. The system is based on 0.98" DMD x3, supports input signals up to 8K@60Hz and 4K@240Hz, and is designed for long-term professional use.

Native 4K resolution with high brightness

The QDX-N4K35 combines native DC4K resolution with a high-output laser phosphor light source. With 31,000 ANSI lumens, it is suitable for large-scale projection and environments with elevated ambient light. This is supported by high brightness uniformity and a full field contrast ratio around 2,200:1. Barco DynaBlack enables dynamic contrast adjustment.

QDX platform and integration benefits

As part of the QDX platform, the QDX-N4K35 is integrated into a unified system architecture combining multiple performance levels and light source technologies. For integration, this enables consistent workflows and reuse of existing infrastructure such as TLD+ lenses, rental frames and transport solutions. Platform technologies include Pulse Electronics, DuraOptix, DynaBlack and the Insights Management Suite for centralized monitoring and remote management.

Signal processing and interfaces

The projector is designed for high-bandwidth signal processing and includes HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, RJ45 Ethernet, USB with 5 V and 12 V output and BNC 3D sync in/out. Supported input signals include up to 4096 x 2160 at 120 Hz, 3840 x 2400 at 120 Hz and up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz. Integrated features include warping and blending, picture-in-picture and Constant Light Output (CLO).

TLD+ lens platform and flexible installation

The QDX-N4K35 is delivered as body only without lens and uses the TLD+ lens platform. It supports interchangeable lenses with ratios from 0.37-7.50:1, enabling installations from ultra short throw to ultra telephoto. Motorized lens shift provides large adjustment ranges depending on the lens, complemented by lens memory for compatible optics. The projection distance can be approximated as image width x ratio.

Designed for continuous professional operation

The system is designed for long-term use and features a sealed DLP core with DuraOptix and protective measures for optical and electronic components. The laser phosphor light source is built for extended operating life. It supports 360° orientation, includes an optical dowser and features a modular, service-friendly design.

Mechanical and operating conditions

The chassis follows the QDX platform design with dimensions of 660 x 830 x 350 mm and a weight of approximately 74 kg. Operating temperature range is 0-40 °C, with reduced output at higher temperatures. Power requirements are 120-160 V in reduced mode or 200-240 V (+/-10%) at 32 A and 50-60 Hz.
