Appotronics AL-SK20KAP-Demoware

The Appotronics AL-SK20KAP is a professional Large-Venue laser projector of the S Pro Series with ALPD 5.0 RGBX Full-Color Laser Technology, 20,000 ANSI-Lumen and 4K+ output (3,840 x 2,400). The fully sealed IP5X Optical Engine, a lamp life of up to 20,000 hours, and support for nine interchangeable lenses make the system suitable for demanding installations with high requirements for image quality, color performance and flexibility. The projector is delivered as body only, the matching lens is available separately.

ALPD 5.0 RGBX Full-Color Laser Technology

The AL-SK20KAP is based on Appotronics' ALPD 5.0 RGBX Full-Color Laser Technology. The light source combines RGB laser and phosphor technology and enables an expanded color reproduction with up to 120% Rec.709, up to 100% DCI-P3, and up to 90% BT.2020. This allows content with high color saturation and wide color gamut to be depicted precisely. The technology was developed for professional applications where color accuracy, image consistency and high light output are equally required.

High Brightness and Image Quality

With 20,000 ANSI-Lumen and a 4K+ output of 3,840 x 2,400 pixels, the AL-SK20KAP delivers a detailed and sharp projection on large image surfaces. Brightness uniformity of at least 95% supports uniform illumination across the entire projection area. A native contrast of at least 1,600:1 ensures precise differentiation of bright and dark image areas. Additionally, the projector supports HDR10 for processing corresponding image signals.

Color Gamut and Image Consistency

The S Pro Series is designed for applications requiring high color stability and reproducible image quality. In addition to the wide color gamut coverage, the AL-SK20KAP features a red channel share of over 22%, enabling differentiated and balanced color tones. Combined with high brightness uniformity, this yields a consistent image across the entire projection surface.

Flexible Lens Platform

The AL-SK20KAP supports nine interchangeable lenses with throw ratios from 0.36:1 to 6.84:1. This allows the system to be configured for a wide range of projection distances and room geometries. The available lenses cover ultra-short throw to teleprojection applications and provide a unified platform for diverse installation requirements.

360° Installation and Geometric Correction

For integration into complex projection environments, the projector supports free 360° installation. In addition, horizontal and vertical Edge Blending are available, along with extensive geometry features. These include keystone correction, Corner Correction, Curved Surface Correction and Multi-Point Geometry Correction with up to 33 x 33 control points to adapt to demanding projection surfaces.

Closed IP5X Optical Engine

The fully sealed IP5X Optical Engine protects optical components from dust ingress and supports long-term stable operation. The multi-laser-module architecture contributes to uniform light distribution and consistent image quality throughout the life of the light source. The specified life of the laser light source is up to 20,000 hours.

Network Management with APCS

APCS (Appotronics Projector Control System) provides a central management platform for monitoring and managing projectors. The system supports automatic device discovery on the network, real-time status monitoring, scheduling features, firmware updates, and import/export of configuration data. This enables efficient management of larger projector installations as well.

Interfaces and System Integration

To integrate into professional AV environments, the AL-SK20KAP offers HDMI-, DVI-, HDBaseT-, RS232- and RJ45 interfaces. Two HDMI inputs enable automatic signal switching to a backup signal if the main source is interrupted. In addition, there are connections for 3D synchronization, Multi-Sync applications, as well as external control and service functions.
