The Appotronics AL-MK650A is a compact 1-Chip DLP Laser projector with ALPD Laser Phosphor light source, 6,500 ANSI-Lumen brightness and 4K-UHD output (3.840 x 2.160). The projector platform has been designed for professional installation, media and event environments, combining high installation flexibility with interchangeable lens system, motorized Lens Shift, HDBaseT, 360° installation and extensive geometry correction features. Thanks to the fully sealed Optical Engine with IP5X protection and the ALPD laser technology, the AL-MK650A is suitable for long-term professional installations in demanding AV environments. 4K-UHD projection with ALPD laser technology

The AL-MK650A uses the ALPD Laser Phosphor Technology developed by Appotronics to generate high-resolution 4K-UHD projections with high color accuracy and stable brightness. The platform supports HDR, HDR10+, HLG, as well as 10-bit color processing for detailed image rendering within professional media and installation environments. The increased red component of over 12% supports natural color reproduction within immersive or visual applications.

Compact installation platform with interchangeable lens system

The M Pro platform combines professional installation features with a relatively compact chassis. Supports lenses with throw ratios from 0.50:1 to 2.48:1 for a variety of projection geometries. The motorized Lens Shift supports vertical ±50% and horizontal ±20% and facilitates integration within asymmetric or complex installation environments. The projection distance is approximately derived from image width times the throw ratio.

High motion depiction and professional signal processing

The projector supports 4K signals at 60 Hz and 1080p signals up to 120 Hz. MEMC frame interpolation reduces motion blur and enables smooth image rendering within dynamic media content or immersive applications. The integrated image processing further improves local contrast as well as image details within demanding projection environments.

Flexible integration and geometry correction

The AL-MK650A supports 360° installation, Edge Blending, as well as multi-point geometry correction with up to 62 x 32 control points via APCS. Additionally, 4-point Keystone correction and curved surface correction are available. This makes the platform suitable for Projection Mapping, immersive spaces, architectural projections or complex multi-projector installations.

APCS control and management system

With the Appotronics Control Software (APCS), the projector supports central network management, device monitoring, time control, firmware management, and remote configuration over LAN. RS232 and network control are supported for professional integration environments within media, architecture or event projects.

Closed Optical Engine for professional permanent installations

The fully enclosed Optical Engine with IP5X protection supports long-term stable image quality in demanding installation environments. The internal cooling system operates with patented air circulation to achieve high efficiency and low noise. The ALPD light source is rated for up to 20,000 hours. Additionally, the platform supports altitude installations up to 5,000 m.

Connections and integration

For professional signal and system integration, the AL-MK650A features HDMI inputs, HDMI output, HDBaseT, LAN, RS232, USB interfaces, as well as 3D Sync In/Out. This allows the platform to be flexibly integrated within professional AV, media and control environments.

Mechanical platform

The enclosure measures 460 x 388 x 138 mm and weighs 12.5 kg. The compact form factor facilitates integration within truss, ceiling or media installations. The projector supports an operating temperature range of 0-40 °C and professional permanent installations within demanding AV environments.
