Christie Captiva Series

The Christie Captiva Series is a 1DLP laser projector platform with an integrated ultra-short-throw lens and a compact design for installation-focused projection at minimal distance. The series combines a laser phosphor light source with low-maintenance operation, integrated image adjustment and flexible alignment via lens shift and digital correction. Thanks to the fixed, built-in lens and the streamlined system design, the Captiva Series is designed for applications where defined projection is required in limited installation space.

The Christie Captiva Series is a compact 1DLP laser projector platform with an integrated ultra-short-throw lens. The focus is on a system that is as easy as possible to integrate for projection at minimal distance, while maintaining stable image quality and reducing installation effort.

Series positioning

We see the Captiva Series as a specialist solution for installations where the throw distance is severely limited and a fixed, clearly defined projection geometry is required. Unlike systems with interchangeable lenses, the priority here is not maximum flexibility, but a pre-configured, integrated solution.

Integrated ultra-short-throw lens

A key feature of the series is the fixed, built-in ultra-short-throw lens. This enables large image widths at a very short distance from the projection surface.
Because the lens is integrated, there is no need to select and align a separate lens. This reduces system complexity and simplifies planning and installation. At the same time, it provides a clearly defined projection geometry.

Imaging technology and resolution

Depending on the model, the Captiva Series offers different native resolutions and formats, including HD, ultra-wide and WUXGA. The platform is designed for stable image output in a compact form factor and supports common input signals.

Light source and operation

The series uses a laser phosphor light source designed for low-maintenance operation. Doing without traditional lamp systems reduces maintenance requirements and supports consistent light output over the projector’s operating life.

Installation features and image adjustment

Despite the fixed lens, the series offers adjustment options via focus adjustment as well as digital correction functions such as geometry correction, depending on the model, e.g. four-corner adjustment. This allows the image position to be adjusted within a defined range.
These functions support clean integration even where space is restricted.

Compact design and integration

The compact construction is a key feature of the Captiva Series. It enables integration into installation environments where larger projector systems cannot be used.
The combination of a compact design and an integrated lens reduces both installation effort and planning effort.

Assessment and recommendation

We recommend the Christie Captiva Series for installations where projection at very short distance, clearly defined geometry and minimal system effort are required. The combination of an ultra-short-throw lens, laser light source and compact design makes the series a suitable solution for space-critical projection environments.
