Mirror Head 11 - Optoma ZU650 + Barco G60

The Dynamic Projection Institute Mirror Head MH11-650 adds digitally controlled mirror mechanics to compatible Barco projectors for dynamic projection redirection in professional AV and media environments. The system combines a projector-specific mounting platform with a motorized precision mirror and enables flexible distribution of projection content across multiple surfaces within a room. Mirror Head MH11-650 has been specifically developed for the Barco G60 and G62 series and is suitable for immersive installations, architectural projection, event productions, exhibitions and interactive media environments.

Dynamic projection control for variable projection surfaces

Mirror Head MH11-650 enables projection content to actively move throughout a space or switch between different projection surfaces. This allows content to be distributed across walls, floors, ceilings and architectural surfaces. The high-resolution PAN/TILT control supports accurate and repeatable mirror movement for kinetic projection concepts, immersive installations and dynamic show environments. Multiple projection zones can be covered using a single projector through digital mirror redirection.

Optimized for the Barco G60 / G62 series

The mirror mechanics and mounting platform have been specifically designed for Barco G60 and G62 series projectors. The optimized mirror geometry supports precise projection alignment within professional installation environments and enables stable integration for event, museum and architectural projection applications. The projector-specific construction supports multiple projection geometries within dynamic staging concepts.

Precise control and high reposition accuracy

Mirror Head MH11-650 supports DMX-512 using 14 DMX channels as well as Art-Net, HTTP control and MQTT communication. High-resolution micro step motors with maintenance-free direct drive technology enable precise PAN/TILT movement with positioning accuracy around 0.01° and absolute reposition accuracy below 0.02°. The self-calibrating mirror positioning system supports repeatable projection workflows within complex show and installation environments. The pre-installed DPCC web interface enables browser-based configuration of dynamic projection scenarios.

Robust construction for professional environments

The construction is based on powder-coated steel mechanics with a specially coated front surface mirror providing approximately 98% reflectivity. The passive mirror cooling system operates fanless inside the mirror mechanics. By using maintenance-free direct drive systems and eliminating conventional wear components, the system is designed for long-term professional installations in architectural, media and event environments. Multiple mounting options support truss, wall and floor-based installations.
