Mirror Head 35 - Rental Edition

The Dynamic Projection Institute Mirror Head MH35 Rental Edition is a dynamically controllable mirror module for projectors of the Panasonic PT-MZ16K series. The system adds a highly precise PAN/TILT mirror control to compatible LCD-laser projectors and enables the dynamic redirection and positioning of projections within professional AV environments. By combining DMX-, Art-Net-, HTTP- and MQTT-control, a self-calibrating mirror mechanism and a construction developed specifically for Rental-, Touring- and Event applications, the MH35 is suitable for Projection Mapping, immersive installations, trade show projects, live events and dynamic media staging.

Dynamic Projections for the Panasonic PT-MZ16K platform

The MH35 extends compatible Panasonic projectors with a precise controllable mirror mechanism, with which projections can be moved, aligned and reproducibly recalled. This allows content to be flexibly distributed between different projection surfaces or dynamic projection effects within an installation. The high-resolution 16-Bit PAN/TILT control enables movement accuracy of about 0.01° and an absolute repeatability of less than 0.03°. The self-calibrating mirror positioning supports consistently precise and reproducible projection results.

Rental Edition for flexible event and touring applications

The MH35 Rental Edition has been specifically designed for professional Rental, Touring and Event environments. The construction supports integration into professional projector frames and rigging systems and enables quick assembly within temporary projection installations. This makes the system particularly suitable for trade show construction, corporate events, live productions, immersive experiential worlds and temporary media installations with changing projection requirements.

Modern control platform for professional AV environments

For integration into modern media control systems, the MH35 supports DMX-512, Art-Net over RJ45, HTTP Control as well as MQTT Publish & Subscribe communication. Additionally, an RS232 interface is available for direct projector control. Through the integrated DPCC Web Interface, motion profiles, projection workflows and control parameters can be conveniently configured and managed. The control platform was developed for professional show, media and event applications.

Front Surface Mirror for efficient beam deflection

The MH35 uses a specially coated Front Surface Mirror with a reflectivity of about 98 %. The mirror system is designed for the requirements of the Panasonic PT-MZ16K platform and supports efficient deflection of the projection beam with high image quality. The passive cooling operates without additional fans inside the Mirror Head and supports quiet operation.

Compatible with the Panasonic PT-MZ16K series

The MH35 was developed for selected projectors of the Panasonic PT-MZ16K platform. The combination of high light output, compact enclosure design and dynamic mirror control opens up a wide range of possibilities for immersive installations, museum applications, architectural projections, experiential worlds and professional event technology. For operation, Dynamic Projection Institute recommends a minimum throw ratio of 1.40:1.

The MH35 is developed and manufactured by Dynamic Projection Institute in Austria. The anodized lightweight metal construction, the maintenance-free direct drives, and the mechanics designed for professional AV applications support long-term reliable operation within fixed installations, event productions and touring environments.
