The 0.67:1 Ultra-High-Contrast (UHC) fixed focal-length lens from the ILS1 series is the short-throw optic for situations where deeper black levels and high ANSI contrast matter more than absolute peak brightness. An internal flare-ring system and low-flare coatings reduce stray light in the lens system – making dark image areas visibly gain depth. As an ILS1 lens, the lens is automatically detected by the projector; focus, zoom (not relevant for fixed focal lengths) and Lens-Shift presets can be stored precisely and retrieved reproducibly. The nominal throw ratio is 0.67:1 (rule of thumb: throw distance ~ 0.67 × image width; e.g., 6 m image width ~ 4.02 m distance). The UHC version is especially suitable for dome, dark ride and black-room installations where image depth is prioritized over maximum lumen throughput.
