The Barco G50-W8 is a professional single-chip DLP laser projector delivering 7,500 ANSI lumens (8,900 ISO lumens) with a native WUXGA resolution of 1920 x 1200. This compact installation platform combines a long-life laser phosphor light source with a sealed optical engine, motorised interchangeable lenses and professional installation tools. Supplied as Body Only without a projection lens, the projector provides an economical solution for museums, exhibitions, visitor centres, corporate experience centres and a wide range of professional fixed-installation applications.

Delivering 7,500 ANSI lumens (8,900 ISO lumens) and a native WUXGA resolution of 1920 x 1200, the Barco G50-W8 produces sharp and consistent images for professional applications. Single-chip DLP technology provides detailed image reproduction with stable colour performance, making the projector suitable for presentations, visualisation, exhibitions and digital signage.The laser phosphor light source offers an operational lifetime of up to 20,000 hours, significantly reducing maintenance requirements. Constant Light Output (CLO) continuously regulates brightness to maintain consistent image performance throughout the projector's lifetime. A sealed optical engine further protects internal optical components against dust, supporting long-term image stability and operational reliability.

Compact design for flexible installation

Weighing only 13 kg without a lens and measuring 486 x 376 x 181.2 mm, the Barco G50-W8 is among the most compact projectors in its performance class. The lightweight design simplifies transportation, handling and installation while providing greater flexibility in projects where installation space is limited.The projector supports unrestricted 360° orientation, allowing installation in virtually any position. It is therefore equally suitable for conventional front projection as well as floor, ceiling and complex architectural projection applications.

Black housing for discreet installations

This version of the Barco G50-W8 features a black housing and is particularly well suited for installations where the projector should blend discreetly into its surroundings. The dark finish reduces visible reflections and integrates seamlessly into technical ceiling installations, theatres, auditoriums, event venues, museums and a wide range of professional AV environments. This allows the projector to remain visually unobtrusive while keeping the audience's attention focused on the projected image.

Flexible interchangeable lens platform

The Barco G50-W8 is supplied as Body Only without a projection lens. A comprehensive range of interchangeable lenses covering throw ratios from 0.37:1 to 5.50:1 allows the projector to be adapted to a wide variety of installation environments.All available lenses feature motorised zoom, focus and lens shift. Depending on the selected lens, vertical lens shift is available up to 100%, while horizontal lens shift reaches up to 30%. Projection distance is approximately calculated as image width x throw ratio.

Professional installation and management tools

Integrated warp & blend, keystone correction and colour correction provide extensive installation flexibility for both single-projector and multi-projector environments.For installation, configuration and long-term management, the G50-W8 supports Barco Projector Toolset software, the cloud-based Barco Insights Management Suite and the Barco Pulse Mobile App. Together, these solutions simplify commissioning, monitoring and maintenance throughout the projector's operational life.

Comprehensive connectivity

The Barco G50-W8 features dual HDMI 2.0b inputs, DisplayPort 1.2a, HDBaseT, HDMI output, 3D Sync, RS232, LAN and USB connectivity. Input signals up to 4K at 60 Hz are supported and scaled to the projector's native WUXGA resolution. Two integrated 10 W speakers further extend the projector's flexibility for installations requiring straightforward onboard audio playback.
