Mirror Head 43 - Rental Edition

The Dynamic Projection Institute Mirror Head MH43 Rental Edition is a dynamically controllable mirror module for Panasonic PT-RQ25K projectors. The system expands compatible 3-Chip DLP projectors with a highly precise PAN/TILT mirror control and enables dynamic redirecting as well as positioning of projections within professional AV environments. By combining DMX-, Art-Net-, HTTP- and MQTT-control, self-calibrating mirror mechanism and a construction specially developed for Rental-, Touring- and Event applications, the MH43 is suitable for Projection Mapping, immersive installations, architectural projections, large-scale events and demanding media productions.

Dynamic Projections for the Panasonic PT-RQ25K Platform

The MH43 extends compatible Panasonic projectors with a precisely controllable mirror mechanism, enabling projections to be moved, aimed and reproduced reliably. This allows content to be flexibly distributed on different projection surfaces or dynamic projection scenarios within an installation. The high-resolution 16-Bit PAN/TILT control enables a motion accuracy of about 0.01° and an absolute repeatability of less than 0.03°. The self-calibrating mirror positioning supports permanently stable and reproducible projection results.

Rental Edition for professional large-scale events

The MH43 Rental Edition was developed specifically for professional Rental-, Touring- and Event applications. The construction supports integration into projector frames and rigging systems and enables fast assembly within temporary projection environments. Therefore the system is particularly suitable for live productions, touring projects, Projection Mapping, immersive experience worlds and event environments where high light output and flexible projection geometries are required.

Extended control and network features

For integration into modern media control systems the MH43 supports DMX-512, Art-Net over RJ45, HTTP Control as well as MQTT Publish- and Subscribe communication. In addition, an RS232 interface is available for direct projector control. The integrated DPCC Web Interface allows convenient configuration and management of movement profiles, projection workflows and system parameters. The platform is designed for professional show control and complex media installations.

Front Surface Mirror for precise image redirection

The MH43 uses a specially coated Front Surface Mirror with a reflectivity of about 98 %. The mirror system is designed for the requirements of the Panasonic PT-RQ25K platform and supports efficient redirection of the projection beam with high image quality. The passive cooling operates without additional fans inside the Mirror Head and supports quiet operation.

Compatible with the Panasonic PT-RQ25K Series

The MH43 was developed for select projectors of the Panasonic PT-RQ25K platform. The combination of high light output, compact 3-Chip DLP architecture and dynamic mirror control opens up a range of possibilities for immersive installations, architectural projections, experiential worlds, digital exhibitions and professional event technology. For operation Dynamic Projection Institute recommends a minimum Throw Ratio of 1.40:1.

The anodized lightweight metal construction, maintenance-free direct drives and the mechanics designed for professional AV applications support a long-term reliable operation within fixed installations, event productions and touring environments.
