Mirror Head 26 - Rental Edition

The Dynamic Projection Institute Mirror Head MH26 Rental Edition is a dynamically controllable mirror module for the Epson EB-PU2000 series. The system has been developed for the models EB-PU2010, EB-PU2113, EB-PU2116, EB-PU2120, EB-PU2213, EB-PU2216 and EB-PU2220 and enables the precise deflection as well as dynamic positioning of projections within professional AV environments. By combining high-resolution PAN/TILT control, DMX and Art-Net connectivity, self-calibrating mirror mechanism and a construction designed specifically for Rental and Touring applications, the MH26 is suitable for Projection Mapping, immersive installations, Live events, media productions and temporary projection environments.

Dynamic projections for the Epson EB-PU2000 platform

The MH26 extends compatible Epson projectors with a precisely controllable mirror mechanism, enabling projections to be moved, aligned and retrieved reproducibly. As a result, multiple projection surfaces within an installation can be illuminated by a single projector. The high-resolution 16-bit PAN/TILT control enables motion accuracy of about 0.01° and an absolute repeat accuracy of less than 0.03°. The self-calibrating mirror positioning supports consistently precise projection results.

Rental Edition for Touring and Event operation

The MH26 Rental Edition was developed specifically for professional Rental, Touring and Event applications. The construction supports integration into professional projector frames and rigging systems and enables fast and secure Snap-In mounting. This allows projectors and Mirror Heads to be prepared, transported and deployed within temporary projection environments efficiently. The platform is particularly suitable for trade show construction, touring productions, live events, Projection Mapping and changing projection scenarios.

Professional control and system integration

For integration into modern media control systems, the MH26 DMX-512 supports 14 DMX channels, DMX-IN and DMX-OUT, Art-Net over RJ45 as well as an RS232 interface for projector control. The high-resolution microstep motors with maintenance-free direct drive enable precise motion sequences with high repeatability. An integrated LED display supports local configuration directly on the unit.

Front Surface Mirror for efficient beam deflection

The MH26 uses a specially coated Front Surface Mirror with a reflectivity of about 98 %. The mirror system has been tuned for the Epson EB-PU2000 platform and supports efficient deflection of the projection beam with high image quality. The passive cooling operates without additional fans inside the Mirror Head and supports quiet operation.

Compatible with Epson EB-PU2000 projectors

The MH26 was developed for the Epson EB-PU2000 series and supports projectors with 10,000 to 20,000 ANSI lumens. Compatible are the models EB-PU2010, EB-PU2113, EB-PU2116, EB-PU2120, EB-PU2213, EB-PU2216 and EB-PU2220. Supported are the Epson lenses ELPLW08, ELPLW06, ELPLM15, ELPLM10, ELPLM11 and ELPLL08. For optical reasons, Dynamic Projection Institute recommends using from a ratio of 1.40:1.
