The Barco G50-W6 is a professional 1-Chip DLP laser projector with 5,400 ANSI-Lumen (6,400 ISO-Lumen) and native WUXGA resolution (1,920 x 1,200). The compact installation platform combines a sealed Laser Phosphor light source with a sealed optical system, motorized interchangeable lenses and professional installation tools. As a Body Only without a lens, the projector is suitable for a variety of fixed installations and offers an economical solution for museums, exhibitions, visitor centers, Corporate Experience Center, as well as numerous other professional AV applications.

The Barco G-series

With the G-series, Barco offers a projector platform designed specifically for professional fixed installations. The focus is on a compact build, high energy efficiency and especially flexible integration into diverse projection environments. Despite their small size, the projectors offer many features typically reserved for much larger installation systems. These include, among others, motorized interchangeable lenses, integrated geometry corrections, professional control options, and a long-lasting Laser Phosphor light source. Barco positions the G50-series as a particularly compact and energy-efficient projector platform within its own portfolio. This makes the G50-W6 especially suitable for projects where professional image quality should be paired with a small footprint and economical operation.

Laser projection with native WUXGA resolution

With 5,400 ANSI-Lumen (6,400 ISO-Lumen) and native WUXGA resolution (1,920 x 1,200), the Barco G50-W6 delivers a sharp and uniform image for professional installations. The Single-Chip DLP technology produces detailed images with stable color reproduction and is suitable for both presentations and visualizations, exhibitions and Digital Signage applications. The Laser Phosphor light source achieves a life of up to 20,000 hours and significantly reduces maintenance. It is complemented by Constant Light Output (CLO), which continuously monitors light output and supports as constant brightness as possible over long operating periods. The fully encapsulated optical system provides additional protection for the optical components against dust and contributes to long-term stable image quality.

Compact form factor for flexible installations

Weighing only 13 kg without a lens and dimensions of 486 x 376 x 181.2 mm, the Barco G50-W6 ranks among the most compact projectors in its class. This makes transport, handling and installation easier and opens up additional possibilities for projects with limited space. The projector supports unrestricted 360° installation and can be operated independent of its mounting position. This makes it suitable for traditional front projection as well as projection onto floors, ceilings or complex architectural surfaces.

White housing for architecturally demanding installations

This white-housed version of the Barco G50-W6 is designed for installations where the projector should harmoniously blend into bright or architecturally demanding environments. The light housing color is particularly suitable for modern ceiling installations, museums, visitor centers, reception areas, exhibitions and other professional AV applications where, in addition to projection, the optical integration of the technology plays an important role.

Flexible lens-platform for professional planning

The Barco G50-W6 is delivered as Body Only without a lens. For projection, a wide selection of interchangeable lenses with throw ratios from 0.37-5.50:1 are available. This allows the projector to flexibly adapt to different room sizes and projection distances. All lenses feature motorized zoom, focus, and Lens Shift. Vertical Lens Shift up to 100%, depending on the lens used, and horizontally up to 30%. The throw distance is approximately image width x ratio.

Professional installation and control features

Features include integrated warping and blending, keystone correction, and color correction. These features enable precise adaptation to diverse projection surfaces and facilitate both single- and multi-channel installations. For project planning and management, the G50-W6 supports the Barco Projector Toolset. In addition, the cloud-based Barco Insights Management Suite for remote monitoring and the Barco Pulse Mobile App for commissioning and operation are available. This allows easy integration of the projector into professional AV infrastructures and long-term management.

Modern connectivity

The Barco G50-W6 features two HDMI-2.0b inputs, DisplayPort 1.2a, HDBaseT, HDMI output, 3D-Sync, RS232, LAN and USB ports. Input signals up to 4K at 60 Hz are supported and scaled to the native WUXGA resolution. Complementing the specs are built-in 2 x 10-W speakers for applications where simple audio playback directly from the projector is desired.
